Photographer and DoP Rate Guide

So the big question - how much for a photographer to shoot your brand or to hire me as a your DoP for your video production? And the answer… it depends! The nice thing about this job is that it is varied - days are very different but that‘s because every procution is.

I can give you an idea though, however factors such as photography and video usage (if the project is commercial or personal) do effect the costs.

Here are some examples of previous projects and average costs for hiring me as a photographer, camera operator, producer/director or self shooter.

I also work as a video editor from my London edit suite which has its own rates, working on Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects with a high speed computer.

Cancellation Policy

When booking a photography or video session, I will reserve the date and time and turn away other work that requests the same date. Unfortunately, should you need to cancel the booking, it is hard to fill the time should it be required so a cancellation fee will be required as detailed before.

Cancellations are as below:

100% the fee if cancelled within 48 hours of the booking.

75% of the fee if cancelled between 48-72 of the the booking.

50% of the fee between 72-96 hours of the booking.

Cancellation fees won’t be charged should we find a suitable time to reschedule between us.

    • £598 for a digital portrait session including 10 edited photographs.

    • Extra hours at £95 per hour

    • Including studio in Elephant & Castle

    • Base rate filming for a day as Producer / Director £798 with a Sony Fx6 4k cinema camera.

    • Additional kit extra (lighting / sound).

    • Commercial work priced dependent on usage.

    • Camera Operator without Equipment £650 per day

  • I often work as a video editor for video projects and I can be hired as such. I am skilled with Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and colouring footage as required.

    Editing on Premiere Pro average day rate is £450 per day

  • To hire me as a photographer for an all day studio photoshoot.

    • £998 approx for an all day photo shoot

    • Edits to be discussed in terms of needs

    • Licensing for commercial use to be discussed if required

  • I have worked as a photographer for over ten years and I can help build a model portfolio for those testing for model agencies and model casting.

    A 3 hour model portfolio shoot in the studio or on location with 3-4 looks starts at £598 including 15 edits.

  • Headshots start at £398 in the studio including five edits
